One of those days.

Writing is hard, putting yourself and your work out into the world is hard. I'm kind of getting the impression my romance sucks a little (or a lot) haha. I do see the point being made that it is a little unrealistic. I guess for me, I've always loved the romances where they don't make sense, where two people are so different and far apart that for them to be together it can only be love. Because then that's the strongest tie. Not just because they live in the same town or work in the same careers.

but I might be on my own with this. I wanted my heroine to be tough, have lived a hard life, but to still have remained a little innocent. To still have a soft side that with the right person and coaxing would appear. And I wanted my hero to be perfect for her, so he would do and say the right things.  Oh well, maybe a fail this time or maybe romance is not my thing haha. Best stick with fantasy.

I appreciate you all though, good and bad comments. It is helping me grow as an author.  I've learned a lot over this one year of writing.  And I'll continue to learn :)

  1. Personally I love Songbird. I don't care if it is realistic or not; that's not what I look for in the books that I read. I really like Melodee and Nathan, as well as Nathan's brothers, and I hope to hear more about them in the future. I have read all of your books and haven't been disappointed with any of them. They are the kind of books that I will read multiple times :)

  2. Thank you! Your message is very kind. I'll be honest I'm not one to read true-to-life stories much, I definitely like the 'fantasy' element. So probably, I've incorporated that into my romance also - warrior girl meets greek god man kind of scenario. Probably they would never cross paths in real life. But hey, I love them, they're my kind of soul mates ;)

    1. I've just finished Songbird... and WOW! I absolutely loved it! I love books where the damsel is a fighter... literally, there aren't enough books where a woman is involved in the fighting scene be it MMA, UFC or Cage Fighting, so thank you. Combine that with the seriously hot Sinclair brothers... and Nate, all I can say is Yummy! I absolutely love you're writing style and story line - books are supposed to be unrealistic to a certain extent. That's why we read them! Call it escapism, or just a fun way to use our imaginations... I couldn't have imagined a better story for Melodee & Nate, the chemistry and intimate moments were perfect not over done. I cant wait for the next Sinclair story.... when oh when do you plan on releasing the next one, please tell me you're already writing or at least planning the next one... I cant wait!

  5. Hello :) Thank you so much for your comment, I love to hear there are others, like me, who love a little escapism in their stories. And MMA/ fight books for women are awesome. I love a tough, kick-ass heroine.

I am most definitely working on Matt, Charles and Luke's stories. And Garrett & Chloe may also have a story in there ;). Please stay in touch and I'll update release dates as they come around.

Thank you again for taking the time to leave me a message.
    Happy reading
    Jaymin :)
